My name is Manon Isabella, a Dutch girl who moved to Dubai when I just turned 21. In this article I will take you on a little tour showing you all the must-see’s and hotspots of this dazzling desert, and that’s not all… I have stayed in more than 70 hotels around the world last year and will share my favorite destinations here with you!
The luxurious Dubai, the ultimate destination in winter to escape the cold and soak up some sunny rays. There are so many great restaurants, bars and five star hotels in Dubai so it is hard to choose one but below you can find my all-time favorites in this cosmopolitan city.
Hotel: Anantara, the palm Dubai resort.
The beautiful water villa is a true dream, the relaxing sound of the waves, the super spacious private outdoor area with sunbeds and a cabana for a little siesta and the bath tub where you’ve got the most beautiful view. The best part of the water villa is the floor of glass where you can have a look into the sea and see the most gorgeous fishes. The service is outstanding, you will have your private villa host who will arrange everything for you from butler service to restaurant bookings, you name it.
Drinks: Jetty Lounge
One & Only Royal Mirage, al sufouh road
For sunset drinks Jetty Lounge is the place to be. The moment you walk into the lush gardens of The One & Only Royal Mirage you instantly feel relaxed. The Jetty Lounge is an elegant beach bar; sip on a delicious cocktail while watching the sun go down in the sea, is there anything more perfect than that?
The mood is laid back with sophisticated lounge music perfect to wind down from the day. Oh and btw, you can see the famous Dubai Marina skyline from here with their breath taking view.
Dinner: Karma Kafe
Souk al bahar, down town
I am a big fan of Asian food, so when I heard about this award winning pan Asian restaurant I defiantly wanted to go there. Their food is absolutely delicious and when you go there you have to taste their cocktails!
Make sure you book a table on the terrace outside with this nice weather to enjoy, and you will see the best view in town overlooking the fountains and the Burj Khalifa, a must see during your trip to Dubai.
To do: Sass Café Saturday Brunch
Al Fattan Currency House Tower 2, DIFC
Brunches are big in Dubai!
In the weekend you can go to so many places for a nice brunch, including some great wine of course. Sass Café Dubai know how to do a good brunch, the food is very nice with for example starters as; Burrata with truffle honey and grilled peaches or a nice beef carpaccio. Mains as; a lobster or truffle spaghetti or a lovely veal Milanese.
After the lovely food and wine it is time for a little party, with great DJ’s, life performances and of course the Sass Café famous guest, a giant dancing teddy bear and panda, how much fun is that?!
To do: rent a yacht
Fancy a more relaxing day?
Explore Dubai from the sea, go around the Palm Jumeirah, have a stop at the absolutely stunning Burj Al Arab, 7* hotel and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Enjoy the sun, a swim at your own private yacht for the day or at least a few hours.
See the World Islands or go through the lagoons, the options are endless. A unique day out in Dubai not to be missed!
In my next article we fly from Dubai to Nice where our final destination is The Côte d’Azur. I will share all my hotspots, hidden gems and favorite places of the famous French Riviera.
In the main time you can follow me on Instagram where you can see my latest destinations and some more pictures of my traveling.
Sincerely, Manon Isabella.
